Missoula County has long prided itself on its exports — timber, tourism, and now, apparently, airborne particulate matter. As PM2.5 levels climb, so does the collective shrug from those tasked with doing something about it. The dust, for its part, remains fugitive in name only; it has been reliably present for years.
